WHAT IS THE VIRTUAL CHOIR?

ACU students, alumni, faculty/staff, and friends of ACU are invited to participate in a virtual choir singing “The Lord Bless You and Keep You.” We’ve included a step-by-step guide for you to follow in order to record yourself singing and submit your video file electronically. Our sound and visual editing team will then combine these submissions into a single, powerful rendition of this beloved hymn.

For more information, watch the video below:

ALL PARTS

STEP TWO: Record yourself singing your part.

After practicing your part, it's time to record a video to contribute to the virtual choir.

Find a video recording device that you can use to record your submission (e.g., computer, phone, tablet).

  • For phones or tablets, simply use your camera and send it to your computer.

  • On Mac laptops, we recommend you use the "Photobooth" app or try using the website webcamera.io.

  • For PCs, click HERE to find out how to use your computer's camera or try using the website webcamera.io.

Record yourself singing your part while the tutorial video plays in your headphones.

  • Having every participant sing along with the tutorial video will allow our audio and video team to align every submission.

  • If you are using a laptop, you can play the video tutorial on the same device that you're recording from.

  • If you're recording on a phone or tablet, you will have to play the tutorial video on a separate device.

  • General Recording Tips:

    • Make sure you are using headphones so the audio from the tutorial video is not picked up on your recording.

    • Make sure only one person is included in your video, or else we cannot correctly mix the audio.

    • Make sure the recording device is stable, do not hold it in your hand while recording.

    • Make sure your whole head is visible, and that your video capture device is about 18 inches away.

    • Make sure there is good lighting so we can see your face.

STEP THREE: Submit your video recording.

After recording your video, please submit it to the following link:
